I'm made up now that you've finally made an appearance - and thanks for your site rating! "When brassicas attack; the butterfly years" - what the heck is that? If it refers to an article, I would like a ganders... Do you have a link?

Sorry Admin, its a joke based on the Simpsons character Troy McClure - a z list tv star who always introduces himself along the lines of you might remember me from such films as "Towering Inferno 2: The Tower Strikes Back"
I always feel that jokes that you have to explain are the best ones :-)

Sorry Admin, its a joke based on the Simpsons character Troy McClure - a z list tv star who always introduces himself along the lines of you might remember me from such films as "Towering Inferno 2: The Tower Strikes Back" I don't have a TV or watch much telly even. But I have enjoyed the Simpsons on occasion. Going off my ID at the Beeb, let me try one: You might remember me, I discovered a novel way to save water.I always feel that jokes that you have to explain are the best ones :-) I think that could make me the world's greatest comedian (ever) :-) Now say you weren't joking about the forum looking excellent or prepare to be the first deactivated user (jk).

Welcome back, cabbage! But you forgot to say "Hi everybody..." in the style of Dr Nick Riviera. Are you going to have a leafy green vegetable as your avatar?

And anyway, why's no-one commented on the fact I've a fly on the top of "my" head? Photos of cabbages can't be that rare on the Internet, can they? How about this one?
(I couldn't find a green one)

Welcome Jim. You lost your avatar? It was Blackadder goes fourth, wasn't it? Stephen Fry's best part imho (he went downhill after, I'd say). I just have no idea of the character's name... Great to have you onboard!

Welcome back Jim, glad you found us! I'm sure I'll be asking you plenty of birding questions in the not too distant future. It was General Melchett, Archie. Can we expect another Black Adder avatar, Jim? Or maybe even a black adder? Fossa (formerly known as Lefty)
